Well done to the boys basketball team who celebrated a great win against the Redeemer on home soil! The boys were brilliant and played 9 minute quarters which is extraordinary! We had baskets from Michael Callan, Oisin Lennon, Harry Rodgers and a remarkable 3 pointer from James Morgan to seal our victory!
Well done to our amazing support who really helped encourage us on the day. Once again, the boys put their hearts and souls on the line for Bay Estate basketball! As always, I am very proud of them!
Big thanks to Ms. McNally who was a referee on the day too.
Well done to our amazing girl’s basketball team who came second place in the Louth Basketball League. The girls were victorious in their matches against Dulargy, Kilsaran and Stabannon National Schools. They lost by just 2 baskets in the final against Dromiskin. The girls gave their all on the day and they should ALL be very proud of themselves. The girls really enjoyed their day and the parents present were a great support to the girls in the final.
It was a wonderful day hosted in Dromiskin’s basketball club. I was very proud of the girls team who showed great passion and sportsmanship during their games. I was very proud to be their coach. Well done girls and congratulations on your silver medals!
Ms. Cunningham
Congratulations to the boys basketball team for winning every game in their group, beating Kilsaran, Ardee and the Redeemer Boys in the Louth League Basketball Event. Unfortunately, we missed out by one basket in the semi-final to reach the final of the event. It was such an amazing day which ran from 9am-2:30pm in St.Joes, Dromiskin. We were delighted to take part.
EVERY boy played fantastically and should be so proud of themselves. I was absolutely delighted with their passion, their attitudes and most importantly their behaviour during the event. It was a pleasure to be their coach.
Ms. Cunningham
The boys and girls from 5th and 6th class took part in a basketball blitz in St Joseph's on Wednesday, the 23rd of November. Both teams came out victorious on the day. The school also had a mixed team who also won their matches.
Well done to Miss Cunningham and our basketball teams on their successful outing.
