We had a fantastic morning in the school garden planting daffodil bulbs for a fundraising initiative of the Irish Cancer Society. We hope to see plenty of happy yellow daffodils in our school garden in Spring and help raise funds for this worthy charity.
A special thank you to Mrs Gilsenan for joining us and overseeing this wonderful project.
The green fingers were in full swing when our 6th class pupils planted a chestnut tree for each of their classes. These trees were kindly donated by Mrs Conachy.
It was a poignant moment for Mrs Gilsenan's Junior Infant Class of 2014 - Mr. Conneally's current 6th Class as this was Mrs Gilsenan's last Junior Infant class in our school and Mrs Gilsenan helped the children to plant their tree.
