Drogheda & District AC Schools' Cross Country Event
Some of our 6th class pupils took part in the Drogheda & District AC Schools' Cross Country Event at Newtownstalaban Training Ground recently. Well done to Hely & Hayden who finished in the top 10 in the 6th class boys 1500m event & to Jessica who was the first girl home from our school in the 6th class girls 1500m event.
Our pupils enjoyed the experience and promise to become more physically active in the future !!
Dundalk Young Irelanders
We were honoured to have the Young Irelands' team visit us again. They brought along their winning cups - a wonderful achievement for such a small club who are now the Leinster Junior Champions. Most of the team are past pupils or parents and their manager Adrian O'Donoghue is also a former parent of our school. There was great excitement when they arrived into our school hall.
We wish them the very best of luck in the New Year when they take on Beaufort GFC in the All Ireland semi-final.
Climbing Frame 2018
We pull out our school's climbing frame every term for two weeks. Our pupils enjoyed the fun and challenge it presents during their P.E. lessons recently.
Dundalk Young Irelanders Visit
Our pupils gave a huge welcome this morning to some members of the winning Dundalk Young Irelands' team who won the Anglo Printers Junior Football Championship last weekend.
They proudly displayed their silverware for our students and told of the delight in their victory.
Congratulations and well done to the whole team and best wishes in their upcoming match against the Westmeath Champions.
Girls' Gaelic Team
Ms. Daly was delighted with our girls' Gaelic team who took part in a Cumann na mBunscol blitz last week in Na Piarsaigh Gaelic grounds. The team won two out of their three matches and played extremely well.
A huge thank you to Ms. Daly & Ms. Savage who train our upcoming Gaelic stars during lunch break on Fridays.
Tennis Coaching
Our 2nd & 3rd classes have enjoyed free tennis coaching over the past number of weeks. Our tennis lessons were paid for from the proceeds of our recent sponsored 'Sportathon'.
Thank you to Gary for sharing his expertise with our pupils. They enjoyed it immensely!!
Gaelic Coaching
Our 4th class pupils are currently receiving Gaelic coaching. Thanks to Craig Lynch our coach & to Cumann na mBunscol for providing this opportunity for our GAA stars of the future!!
